The Web Poetry Corner - M A Heathcote - The one hundred hour war

The one hundred hour war

M A Heathcote

Kurds from the boarders
Of Kurdistan stand tall
Await your heroic heroes
Our Scud desert storm

Oh lord, Halabja! Halabja!
Oh lord, who hears and sees all
Natures thumb is bleeding
For all is bullet red
As mortar angels rise
Upon the serpents head

Soldiers of that litmus night
Enrolled into a 4 billion profit war
All their blood and sinew
For oil nothing more!

And Baghdad hes grinning
For loosing wins the war!
Because just like Pontius Pilate
The West has blood-lined pockets
Now and forever more!
