As all good Corinthian%C3%A2%C2%80%C2%94Latin lovers do

by

M A Heathcote

Baby girl—love is unique—but heart break is a mans—technique
And angel he’ll make you blue—as all good Corinthian—Latin lovers do
And believe me when he waves you goodbye—it’ll be nothing new
He’ll have already put into place—his next—licentious—bit of lace
And baby she’ll be just as willing as you—to disgrace
That holiday—short-stay—begging for it—easy lay
Champagne—mother of pearl—white primrose—girl
He’ll have her—a little bruised and bereft
And like a little pink starfish out of breath
She’ll be left
She’ll be left
Like you
Like you
Like you—baby girl!
Like you
That holiday—short-stay—begging for it—easy lay
But what the hey—when you get home—you’ll have things to say
About them—dream-on—big ideas—coming your way
Baby girl—open your eyes—don’t cheapen the horizons of your skies
Because girl—love is unique—but heart break is a mans—technique
And angel he’ll make you blue—as all good Corinthian—Latin lovers do.
And believe me when he waves you goodbye—it’ll be nothing new
He’ll have already put into place—his next—licentious— bit of lace
And baby girl she’ll be just as willing as you—to disgrace
That holiday—short-stay—begging for it—easy lay
Champagne—mother of pearl—white primrose—girl
He’ll have her—a little bruised and bereft
And like a little pink starfish out of breath
She’ll be left
She’ll be left
Like you
Like you
Like you—baby girl
Like you
Saving-up for her next fortnights—fun—sun—and frill
Laid-up feeling a little bruised and bereft or ill of will
Taking the morning after pill
Like you
Like you
Like you—like so many short stay—package holiday—easy lay
Champagne—mother of pearl—white primrose girls
On the pull—on the play
Dancing their fancy free—footloose way—dancing the Corinthian—Latin way
For just a fortnights way—hey—hey!.
