A lover%C3%A2%C2%80%C2%99s vow to spring

by

M A Heathcote

Love, there’s a an ancient quarry where bluebells grow
Like sapphires in the melting snow
Like quartz-clocks they tell the time is spring
If ‘ere you listen you might just here them ring
With loves gushing mountain spring
Oh darling do you hear the after-ring!
And if so take mine own!
For know as I’ve loved I’ll never love alone!
