The Web Poetry Corner - Luigi Lalumia - the dot.com that stole Christmas

the dot.com that stole Christmas

by

Luigi Lalumia

Where is Christmas
is it in your heart
is it in your wallet
we buy and buy
where should true giving start

It should be in a act
something said
not measured by the count of packages

The green of holly and mistle toe
is replaced by a large amount of spent doe
The red of the mangers glow
is given up to the blood
of freshly punched nose

We should celebrate a birth
not 50 percent off
there is no need
want is now first

Want a new computer?
NEXT?
