The Web Poetry Corner - Luigi Lalumia - Twisted Beauty
Twisted Beauty
by
Luigi Lalumia
As I stand here on the wet and soggy ground
my feet are merely on top
yours go so far down
As I look at you
you go in all directions
always staying in one place
red cardinals and black crows call you home
You are one on the bottom
then split in two
the bark you wear is tough
during harsh winters and brutal summers
it gets you through
You are twisted beauty
brown - black - mossy green
