The Web Poetry Corner - Luigi Lalumia - Suburban Gato

Suburban Gato

by

Luigi Lalumia

Living life like a cat
Means lying around lazy and fat
Leaving fur where I just sat

I sneak around
Being where I shouldn’t be
I’m treated like a king you see
My mother so patient and kind
Clips all the fuzzy hairballs off my behind

"Am I expected to chase a rat?
Maybe if I have time between eating
Then sleeping on my favorite rug
After all I’m no thug."

Living life like a cat
Inherits a certain aristiCatic Cattitude
Feline Dignity-
Suburban Gato Motto:
Hey Dude! I’m a cat and that’s - That!
