Missed Doves

Slow melting simplicity is so beautiful
under a tangerine sun
I notice this while sitting in a field of Sunflowers
There a millions and millions of them in the field
>From a distance the all looked the same
I draw closer to each flower
The buzzing wasp sounds like a razor
to close to my ear
I don't wave it away - it just goes away
My face to Sunflower face
The differences are apparent the closer I get
Some pedals are damaged
There are contrasting shades of color
Not one of them was perfect
Yet each one is worthy and unique
Created with meaning and purpose
The flower is original
People are like these flowers
Millions and millions of us are in the field
Pause-
To notice the differences each one possess
You will find originality
There is an end to extreme behavior
There is no end to originality
Originality tells a story
While extreme behavior repeats originality
in exaggerated form
