Carry me away
Atop the shoulders of the great poets
And above the strong arms of my family

This slumber that has befallen
My soul
My very core
Seems everlasting-
Although, No darkness is forever

I peer through key holes in my mind
My brow and cheek press hard
Against doors without knobs
My hand fumbles for the key
Finding the usuall strings and lint of
my empty pockets

This wait will be over
As the Sun rises on my beaches
Footprints exposed by receding waves of dark waters
Find me
Remind me I am never alone
