Garden Life

Our garden
Our family garden
is our world we borne
Boundried by only what our hands have not touched
what our minds eye has yet to see
The garden has life
we give it
it thanks us, not in words
but in ways gardens do
It's smile is color, smell and demention
the garden speaks in ways only life givers hear
sometimes softly -
as the wind translates silent stillness
into rhythmic sways of song and dance
In other ways it speaks of wisdom
the youngest seedling has known since creation
"your work is hard, but will not go unrewarded."
The garden is born
it eats and drinks
it has tempers only life givers understand and sooth
The garden teaches us to care
effortlessly it gives back
The garden dies
only to teach one more lesson
one more voice
"your work is hard, but will not go unrewarded."
