Animate Existence
by
Luigi Lalumia
Why do I fear the unknown?
The darkness
Yet I embrace what I don't know
Life is demanding my attention
To follow its intention
Animate existence is struming the chord of my senses
Banishing all pretenses
I am climbing the fences
that barricade all of what is seen
To milk reality
To slit the unseen seams of the machine made streets
All peoples are feeling the heat
If I think of what could have been now
Would I now think of what could have been?
Omens keep catching my eye
The floating bag
The purple truck
Lips
The sky
All pieces of the puzzle
Fitting images
Little golden hooks bound for my direction
Sinking their sharp points into the flesh of my imagination
A dead poets finger trying to widen my eyes
ike with an L
What I C
People and objects and feelings
Of this world I use
I rite with an W
Them down before I lose the vision in my head
Sanity escapes me on these days
Wriggling loose from its human cage
Smile
I am happy
