The Web Poetry Corner - Kimberly Lauridsen - A frolic .....A journey

A frolic .....A journey

by

Kimberly Lauridsen

I've choked on the ashes
I've played with the fires
I learned not a lot
I've learned what you want is never what you've got
I frolicked with the high ones
with smiles on their face a hidden image of fine, inside a disgrace
These are some things I did find
alone on a journey
this journey of life
here I still stand
confused as ever before
I think I just think too much
before I ever open my door
So now I will leave it open ajar
to let some in
This is the fun part
I'm past all the old
now i can frolic and journey on
live without being told
what's right and what's wrong

NEXT?
Why don't you look at You will not live forever
