The Web Poetry Corner - Kenneth R. Bays - When TV Was Young

When TV Was Young

by

Kenneth R. Bays

Remember when we watched TV when we were all so young?
We'd watch Cowboys and Indians shooting their bows and guns.
You wouldn't see blood flowing or the bullets going in,
To show these things way back then would have been a sin.
We'd watch Mickey and Popeye, and Donald Duck too,
We'd laugh at them so hard we didn' know what to do.
But now days you watch TV it's different in everyway,
They show sex and sin and murder every day.
I wish I could go back to the days of black and white,
When children could watch TV and everything would be alright

NEXT?
Why don't you look at Existence...
