The Web Poetry Corner - Kenneth R. Bays - Remembering

Remembering

by

Kenneth R. Bays

Do you remember when you were young?
How times were simple and so much fun.
You lived you life so wild and free,
Away from this time of misery.
Times have changed so much today.
It's even unlawful some places to pray.
You went to school and had so much fun,
You didn't have to be afraid of guns.
I'd like to go back, to the place of charm,
With all my children, away from harm.
I'd gladly give what life I have left,
To go back to that time of no regrets.
