The Web Poetry Corner - Kenneth R. Bays - No One Listens

No One Listens

by

Kenneth R. Bays

As I live my life year by year.
Many things I say, but no one hears.
I'd like to talk but I do not dare,
Because no one listens, no one cares.
If someone would listen, how happy I'd be,
But all they do is make fun of me.
I believe in God up above,
I know he listens with all his love.
So when I die and the candles are lit,
They'll wished they listened when I said I was sick.
