The Web Poetry Corner - Kenneth R. Bays - If I Could Fly

If I Could Fly

by

Kenneth R. Bays

If I Could Fly
When I see the birds up in the sky,
Spreading their wings and soaring so high.
I've always wondered what I would do,
If I were able to fly with them too.
I'd go to places where I've never been,
Around the world and back again.
Up in the clouds is where I would roam,
Flying so high away from home.
I'd see the sights I've never seen,
And pray to God it's not a dream.
But most of all of everything,
I hope when I die I'll get my wings.
