Book Of Life
by
Kenneth R. Bays
Our book of life has pages that have yet to be read.
Chapters on happiness, sorrow and dread.
There are paragraphs of your youth that went so very quick,
It flashed right before your eyes, like a magic trick.
If I could have the chance to read between the lines.
I'd change so many things, some that weren't too kind.
I'd love my family more, and show it every day,
And to our precious God, every day I would pray.
It's not too late to edit, this story that you write,
Because God is the critic, who shines the guiding light.
