The Web Poetry Corner - Katherine Tildes - Why I Became A Poet
Why I Became A Poet
by
Katherine Tildes
to get the anger out
to give the angst a direction
besides in
a flow for the unsure source,
a teenage child caught between
love hate a father
no mother and the
bastards that chose to
make her life hell
some outlet for the rage
pain hate sorror uncertainty
because nothing else lent its hand
to aid me in this life
thus I write
empty my heart soul desires
into words that rarely rhyme
but flow together rather nicely
paper that is thankless
with pens and keys that reach out for me
I write because nothing else
is quite a cleansing for the soul
the body
the mind
as writing a poem
