The Web Poetry Corner - Katherine Tildes - Wait
Wait
by
Katherine Tildes
I'll do anything you want me to
even wait for you
until I cannot wait anymore
I'll step aside if you'd like me to
so that some other women can take my place
I'll come to you if you'd have me
I'd cross a million miles and drive
days if you'd ask me to
But who is to say what you want of me
when I don't even know if you have
any interest in what
I represent,
in who I am,
in what I do or say
So I'll wait for you
until you make a decision
because mine has already been made.
NEXT?
Why don't you look at
maimed cats
