What?!
I’m writing love poetry?
Happy and optimistic,
hopeful and dreamy.

Yuck!
Such a look of disgust and distaste
upon my face.
Yet my eyes show the slight
hint of longing and wishful thinking.

I hang my head and shake it
in disgust and laugh.
What I gotten myself into?
