How?

how to hold onto
that connection that we had
how to remember your mouth
and hair and kisses
the way you smell
the way you smile at me
the sound of your voice

it's akin to losing someone entirely
to them leaving this life
but you are still here
just not in my grasp
not in my sights

how do i know that
you are still mine at all
that you think of me that way
that you want to be here
as much as i want you to be

how?
is it faith
trusting in knowing?
HOW?
