mijn glimlach
voedt verdorde wortels
welke lang
het licht moesten
ontberen

ik vroeg me af
komt er nog zicht
op leven
uit droge grond
als het slechts
op tranen kon teren

ik koester de nog
schuchtere scheuten
blaas een zachte
woordenwind
langs het tere groen

ik weet het zeker
niets weerhoudt nog
de langzame weg
naar bloei
eens krijgt de zon
alsnog de kans
zijn werk
over te doen
