The Web Poetry Corner - Julius Dreyfsandt - tell me who i was

tell me who i was

by

Julius Dreyfsandt

when i try
to avoid dying
i cannot
prepare for my past

"i have been"
i will not be able to say
"I have been"
that i am
i cannot clarify

my death makes
that my past is
created
an erected monument
for close supporters
the club of what doesn't stay forever
