dichtbij de roos
verbind ik
wat ongebonden is
niet dat ik daarvoor
zelf koos
het bleek de adem
van stil gemis

dichtbij de roos
komt vreugde binnen
zuivere tinten
van genade kleuren
die als vanzelve
echtheid beminnen
de snaar raakt
van een trillend
doorgaand gebeuren

dichtbij de roos
word ik gezien
zonder ogen
word ik gewaar
van eeuwig
mededogen
omringd door
een liefdevolle
mensenschaar
