THE NIGHT IS DONE

Fear hell or long for heaven?
Noise pressing in
To drown the melodies
Is swallowed by the quietist
Of shadows.

Then the dazzling
Illumination
Cascades into darkness
Burning the blackness
Away into the night.
Love you’ve been away so long,
And now you’re here once more!
Father, look, the night is done.
Shinning silver raindrops pour
In torrents from the cloudy skies.
Puddles of the brightest light
Begin to form,
Reflected in my eyes.
