The Web Poetry Corner - Jude Eydmann - Little Paper Boats

Little Paper Boats

by

Jude Eydmann

Quietly sleeping, awake into dreams.
Window blows open.
Moonlight spills in.

The man whose face I knew not
Descended with the clouds
Past the mirror
To the soul.

Sadness rolls over
With the stone of the tomb.

And

Little paper boats carry sadness
Down the river of the sky
No longer can I see them, though
Through chambers of my mind
Joy dances
Like moonbeams on eyelashes
Echoes of memory
Dissolve into Silence
