The Web Poetry Corner - Jude Eydmann - Little David

Little David

by

Jude Eydmann

Little David hides away
Behind an iron door.
You tempt him but he’s seen it
And tried it all before.
What circle has this ending?
Sweet Night has lost her day.
And little David’s crying
For Light that’s far away
But David I will find you
Within your barbed wire sphere
Maybe then we’ll find ourselves
As choked sobs disappear.
