GUSTAV THEODORE HOLST
eighteen seventy-four...nineteen thirty-four.

Gustav Holst was born in Cheltenham, England
and studied at London Royal College of Music.
Became teaching trombonist in London & Reading,
his name known worldwide as a great Composer
of operas, ballets and choral works, and many
hymns such as the Hymn of Jesus. And of course
the famous "Planets" Suite...his numerous songs
and all his music have gained in popularity
since his death. Sadly, he died post-operative
in London. His wonderful work will live forever.
