British names:
RICHARD BURTON - British
Classical Shakespearean Actor and
Film Star...born at Port Talbot,
Wales, nineteen twenty-five;
died from a brain haemorrhage,
Switzerland, nineteen eighty-four.
His name at birth was Richard
Walter Jenkins.
RICHARD BURTON attended "Oxford"
from the age of sixteen. He was
well admired for his rich acting
voice, much talent, and very
handsome countenance... married
Sybil Williams, Elizabeth Taylor,
Susan Hunt & Sally Hayes, his widow.
Richard Burton and his wife, the
British born, talented and gorgeous
ELIZABETH TAYLOR were famous together,
she of course, actress supreme. They
starred in such films as Cleopatra
and Who's afraid of Virginia Wolf?
Richard's biography is "a must" read,
to find out about his famous plays
and films and the awards, also about
his time in the British Forces.
He appeared in many Shakespearean plays,
to mention but one, stage version of
Hamlet, directed by Sir John Gielgood
receiving a Tony Award. The list of
his films is too lengthy for me to
include.
Richard Burton - LEGEND of our time -
his body is buried in Switzerland,
where he died, and a collection of
poems by Dylan Thomas is buried beside
him. A gravestone bearing Richard's
name stands in Geneva, the name that
will live through the ages, and the
films will be viewed time and again.
