The Web Poetry Corner - Joyce Hemsley - Nymph of the Wood

Nymph of the Wood

by

Joyce Hemsley

I recall your sweet face, as we walked in the wood,
gathering wild bluebells in days of our childhood.
Your hair was as silk, and your eyes deepest blue,
Do you dream of the past when life was innocent and new?
Time has flown by, but those years were so good...
I will never forget you - my dear "nymph of the wood".
