M N O P

Joyce Hemsley

M - is for mocking bird
nesting in the tree,
imitating many friends,
with a sweet melody.

N - is for nightingale.
songster so small,
listen on a summer's night,
when true love is all.

O - is for ostrich
who towers so high.
His feathers are beautiful;
he runs, but can't fly.

P - is for parrot,
whose plumage is "gay".
Parrots hail from the tropics,
and have plenty to say!
