I - is for Ivy
A tough evergreen,
Up shady walls it travels,
It's a natural screen.

J - is for Judas
A very popular gem -
bearing purple flowers
along each sturdy stem.

K - is for Kerria -
how it covers old fences!
Yellow flowers bloom,
and enhance walls and arches.

L - is for Lilac,
a shrub of sweet perfume,
with flowers for cutting
from May until mid-June.
