The Web Poetry Corner - Joyce Hemsley - Hurry Home

Hurry Home

by

Joyce Hemsley

Her heart is full of misery
Nothing is the same
Since you left her all alone
In love's precarious game.
No-one there beside her
No-one to see her through
Oh how I wish you'd
See the light -
Hurry home, for she loves you.

Does she have to plead and beg?
Words are hard to find!
You are all she longs for,
The wedding vows she signed.
With you life is springtime
Without you her life is blue
Oh how I wish you'd
See the light -
Hurry home, for she loves you.
