Such sorrow and pain fills her heart today,
Her loved one has gone, and the candles dim;
Flowers of summer have lost their perfume,
She is aghast, and the teardrops begin.

No more false promises or deceiving words,
She doubted his love from the start!
Never again will their pathways meet
On a fraudulent affair of the heart.
