The Web Poetry Corner - Joyce Hemsley - Forget Him Not

Forget Him Not

by

Joyce Hemsley

Forget him, not now he has died,
place flowers around his grave,
and think of all the good times
you shared along life's way.

Visit his grave on a sunny day,
never visit his grave in the rain,
take roses when the skies are blue
and re-live those old times again.

Say a prayer as you stand and stare
at the golden words on his stone,
and blow a kiss to the one you miss
as you walk away all alone.
