The Web Poetry Corner - Joyce Hemsley - Fantasy Isle

Fantasy Isle

by

Joyce Hemsley

Sun brightly shining, one evening in May,
She plaited her hair and travelled far away.
Down to the seashore, where skies were still blue,
She wandered all alone - dreaming of you.

Waiting till midnight, swim-wear by her side,
discarding her clothing, she swam with the tide
to a Fantasy Isle, where mortals were few, but
at the start of a new day, she was dreaming of you.
