The Web Poetry Corner - Joyce Hemsley - Disappeared with the Rain

Disappeared with the Rain

by

Joyce Hemsley

A friend she did need,
a dear friend indeed,
and he came when
the skies were grey.
My sweet mother's pain
'disappeared with the rain'
as her friend Death
showed her the way.
Death came so true,
Death saw her through
in that hour when
the skies were grey :
We will meet him one day
as he takes us away
to a land where
violins play.
