The Web Poetry Corner - John William McGrath III - The Kiss

The Kiss

by

John William McGrath III

I dreamed of you my dear this day
Harvest time bringing in the crops
October with moon so bright and gay
We were walking by a row a of shops

Walk faster dear or I shall slower
I wish in everything we co-ordinate
Notice how the moon hangs lower
Ahhh... then sweet kiss, first rate

We noticed a dog standing by a wall
Strange... standing he was on two legs
This was so peculiar I nearly took a fall
Why do I think of a chicken laying eggs

But such is the substance of our dreams
I can't wait to tell you of this episode
The way of my unconscious streams
Darling! That kiss! We were in lover's mode

NEXT?
Why don't you look at daisy
