Poetry And Breezes

by

John William McGrath III

Poetry and Breezes
I sit at my computer stirring up a rhyme
On a lazy hazy autumn day
When a breeze I swear from heaven's prime
Upon my head doth lay

What is this emotion the breeze elicits here?
Why do I feel such love?
A Poignant, nostalgia fills the atmosphere
Though I cannot relate whereof

Trying to understand, I'm feeling so content
It has to be a good thing
So this portends, the breeze is heaven sent
Therefore, I take it and I sing

Ahh... Another, the leaves they barely move
The stirring... Hmmm... My terminology
came before the breeze, yes, I do approve
Fare thee well! I'll not fathom pneumology
