The Web Poetry Corner - John William McGrath III - Pets?
Pets?
by
John William McGrath III
I've always had dogs
I've always had cats
Between the two
I've never had rats
Pooch caught the mice
Out in the desert
Pud scared everything else
And then did it twice
If it was fun she did it again
If I missed it she would say
Where have you been?
Well.. that was the look on her face
I love my pals I don't call them pets
They are family to us, especially me
Pud and pooch a vaudvillian pair
Now these two are just a found memory
NEXT?
Why don't you look at
Filled With Joy
