I once worked with a Scotsman, he looked just like dad
He had the same personality as father, when I was a lad
We built custom houses from dawn to setting sun
And we worked very hard together, always on the run
One morning just while I was waking,I got a thought for him
As I got my cup of coffee and set my mouth against the rim
I wondered what it meant, I knew it had to be profound
I kept thinking what is this? My thoughts were spinning round
Well I got to the job early, we sat together in his car
I told him of the dream about, two Scotsmen in a bar
One said,"Are ye a highlander or a lowlander?" with a frown
The other replied, "What does it matter man, it's only ground"
My friend this scotsman looked at me, his eyes open wide
I was so surprised to see in his eyes, tears forming inside
He gazed into the distance, perhaps to Scotland's border
Said "AYE! and from my observation, all now seemed in order
If you ever get a message, though it may be fact or fallacy
It may heal a wound for someone, hurt by anger or jealousy
Do not be coy or shy about a dream, or that as I received
A message for friend or stranger, May make their heart relieved
