The Web Poetry Corner - John William McGrath III - Honor The Mother
Honor The Mother
by
John William McGrath III
The thought of Jesus is not contrary
He is balanced out by his mother Mary
Little mothers come from everywhere
To visit shrines because she was there
This Lord paid a price, but she did too
Have you ever lost a child close to you?
She followed him from place to place
She watched His glory, and his disgrace
She was the balance, and still is today
In front of her effigy, God's people pray
We know she is a person, one of power
Heralding her son daily, and by the hour
Warning of danger in our present time
Telling us pray, in faith, eradicate crime
Live a pure sweet life, walk straight, tall
Love, honor The Creator, Who loves us all
