Another great grandchild on the way
This one will be number eight
I can't wait until that wonderful day
The beginning of another's fate

I'm so pleased with my descendants
Each is the sweetest one
We'll have a horoscope with ascendants
Before the day is done

Family is the hope of love, our future
A gift from another dimension
And stepchildren grafted in, a suture
They are mine, & share my pension

There is plenty of love for many more
I'll take all that I can get
I'm hoping they wear out my door
So family come visit, bring the bassinet

I want to know all of them so well
And long for them to know me too
I have so many nice stories to tell
My children, and I will listen to you
