A Child At The Circus
by
John William McGrath III
I love a circus, I love the laughter
I love happiness it's what I'm after
I love the tents, I love the clowns
It's more fun than Churchhill Downs
I love the rides, I love the games
I love to go there with brother James
I love to watch the flying trapeze
The difficult moves they do with ease
I love the crowds, I love the hawker
Part of the fun is that fast talker
I love the people walking the rope
I hold my breath I can barely cope
Cotton candy and too much root beer
Elephants, lions, monkeys play here
Those cannonball clowns fly so far
When it's time to go, I fall asleep in the car
