The Web Poetry Corner - Joe Fazio - For: Deanna & Angela

For: Deanna & Angela

by

Joe Fazio

We've had many laughs together and
surely, shed our share of tears.
We've shared a lot of love.

We've had some spirited disagreements.
However, for the most part,
we've had a pretty good ride.

I guess we're like the roots of a tree,
that grow deep down. Like those roots,
there are times, when we get a bit tangled.

However, the roots are still there.
They're still deep and,
they're still strong
The love...is still there.
It always will be.
