The Web Poetry Corner - Jo-El Gerber - If I Were To Lose You

If I Were To Lose You

by

Jo-El Gerber

If I were to lose you I don't know what I'd do
Because I am head-over-heels in love with you
And to you I will always be true
So, please don't ever tell me that we are through.

I used to think that I couldn't fall in love again
For I thought that if I did it would be a sin
But, now I feel like you're the one for me
And I hope that we'll always be.

If I were to lose you I will be different
Because a part of me will be gone
Just because you will always have my heart
And, I knew that right from the start.
