The Governor General wants to Stay
The Governor General wants to stay another year,
She was appointed without votes, questions or a leer,
She likes the Challenger jet and taking all her friends,
To Iceland and Siberia or wherever the trends.
She tends to spend and travel like the Liberals she knows,
The Adscam guys who appointed her with medals and clothes,
Sometimes takes the Challenger jet shopping to New York,
Her and husband John into deep political pork.
A symbol of our subservience without a cure,
Empress to ensure the status quo will endure,
Unquestioned appointees never need a receipt,
Should we bend down, crawl, bow or kneel at her feet?
Is the arrogance of these appointees enough to spook?
Do we need referendums, recall or should we just puke?
Would proportional representation be great?
Is our system left over from King Henry the eight?
