The Web Poetry Corner - James Bredin - Questions for Paul

Questions for Paul

James Bredin

Paul: I hear youíve visited Russia, Hungary and France,
And youíre still traveling free like a man possessed in a trance,
Absent from parliament and away far away,
Copying Joe Clark during his two-hundred-day stay.

Should I remind you that you have a minority?
And this jet setting will not get you job seniority,
Does Carolyn Parrish run the place while youíre away?
Does she make all the decisions every night and day?

I hear you have this special United Nations agenda,
You could ask except for forbidden referenda,
Sending soldiers to Darfur in dreaded Sudan,
Canít help the US or the Brits in your Liberal plan?
