The Web Poetry Corner - James Bredin - Quest for the Melting Pot
Quest for the Melting Pot
As the minarets replace the steeples in town,
Where Charter multiculturalism abounds,
And Catholics, Protestants and Jews stand and frown,
Many leave for the country where they feel more sound.
Canít talk or write about this unless you checked,
ĎCause itís definitely not politically correct,
Constant propaganda avoids whatís going on,
Not fashionable to say their policies might be wrong.
This insularity and opposition to the melting pot,
Because itís American and not what we got,
Government multiculturalism they always push,
Socialist problems they attempt to hush-hush.
Liberal lock on immigrant vote and power,
Favorable decisions from the Supreme Court shower,
Unquestioned appointees dressed like bishops in red,
Canít be challenged - judicial dictatorship instead.
No referendums, recall, term limits or free votes,
Itís Liberal policies and everything they promote,
And never never proportional representation,
That could turn out to be Canadian salvation.
