The Web Poetry Corner - James Bredin - Paul

James Bredin

Paul: You’re here, you’re there, I see you everywhere on the globe,
No one can say you have traces of xenophobe,
Chile, Brazil, Haiti, Burkina Faso and Sudan,
Libya and other places like Darfur and their clan.

But you were absent for all those parliamentary questions,
Showed up for twenty one of the forty three sessions,
You were absent more than half the time or is that true?
A complete disregard for parliament through and through.

Maybe like Joe Clark, who thought he had a majority,
Like him, your itinerary seems to have priority,
And as an international socialist you seem to think,
That the UN is more important and no need to blink.
