The Web Poetry Corner - James Bredin - Fashions

Fashions

by

James Bredin

I will never understand the world of fashion,
Anemic women on a catwalk with no passion,
Looking straight ahead with a scowl on their faces,
Never saw a smile not even the remote traces.

From far away New York, Paris, London or Milan,
Exotic strange fashions or something like rags stuck on,
Designers too of form fitting clothes and their type,
Is there something Iím missing in all this pumped up hype?

Was I not educated properly or did I miss?
Excitement of these paparazzi I canít dismiss,
I have never seen a model who didnít need a feed,
Looked half starved maybe smoking weed or doing speed?
